hearts if palm

Can Amazons safety eat canned hearts if palm?

Answer:

Hi Elizabeth,

It is best not to offer canned foods to your birds. Even if you purchase organic, canned foods are generally high in sodium and do not offer any nutritional value. The best veggies to offer would be frozen with no salt added. Frozen veggies are minimally processed when they are at their freshest, with the most nutrients intact. Unless you grow your own food, frozen veggies generally have more nutrients than fresh veggies, because by the time you buy them at the store, they have been picked for days or weeks and they start to lose natural nutrients from the time they are picked.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
