Hole in the stomach

Hello

I found a bird when i was running somewhere in the woods i found it with a hole in its stomach and whenever i feed it and give it water the water would drip out of the hole i placed a liquid that helps with wounds and a plaster to block off the water dripper out i dont have enough money to go to a vet soo can i have any suggestions to help it as much as i can

Answer:

Hi David,

Injured wildlife must be relinquished to a licensed rehabilitator or wildlife facility. You should not be trying to feed it or treat it yourself, as this can cause more harm. You should never try to give a bird water if it cannot drink on its own. Try the link below, or call your local animal shelters or Vet Clinics. Most will have contact information for the nearest wildlife center.

Thank you for helping the bird find the care it needs,
