Hormones & yeast infections – Dr. Lamb Webinar 3/17

Is there any connection between hormones and yeast infections? My male bird has had 3 infections in the last 3 years only during hormone season.

Here is Dr. Lamb’s response:

Sometimes you will see hormones and infections happening at the same time. This is probably because the hormone issues cause a little bit of stress on their system for a variety of reasons. This immunosuppression is likely what is leading to the infection.
