How much should I feed a Green Cheek Conure

So I want a green cheek but when ever I try to find out how much (volume) of food should be fed a day I only get that their diet should consist of 70% pellets and 30% fruits/veg/Nutri berries

Answer:

Hi Sam,

To clarify, our foraging diets, Nutri-berries, Avi-Cakes and Pellet-Berries, are all nutritionally balanced the same as a pellet, but they are not ground up so they contain whole ingredients that are a more natural diet. You can feed pellets also, but they are not necessary if you are feeding any of ur other diets. In addition we recommend offering fresh fruits, veggies and leafy greens. As far as the amount, this varies by bird because their metabolism and activity levels will be different. Birds eat throughout the day so the bird should always have food available in his cage. If fed a nutritionally balanced diet, a bird will not overeat like a dog or cat will. However like any pet, they will overeat if you offer too many treats that are not nutritious. If you are feeding our diets, the goal is to offer as many as he can eat, without wasting too much. In general, he would eat anywhere from 6 – 10 Nutri-Berries or 4 – 6 Avi-Cakes daily. But this is an estimate and again can vary with each bird.
