how to freeze avicakes and nutriberries

Do you need to take them out of the packaging and put them in a freezer bag? Or the packaging can go in a freezer bag and into freezer? And how long do they keep for in freezer? Thanks for your time.

Answer:

Hi Paula,

I always leave all of mine in the original packaging. Always store in the freezer, not the refrigerator as it has too much moisture. Take out a week or two supply at a time. Once thawed, they generally return to their regular texture. They are good in the freezer at least until the “best by date”, which is up to 18 months.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
