How to tame a pair of adopted cockatiels in a short time?
I’ve kept a pair of adopted cockatiels more than 1 year ago. Worry about they may get bored within the cage, I let them out the cage with the windows nearly closed and mosquito net installed beforehand, before going out.
As they are used to be together before being adopted, they are kept in the same large cage, where several perches and toys attached around the cage. Whenever entering the room where the cage is located, I call their names in soft voice so that they may get used to this.
However, they seem to prefer staying each other to interacting with me. This makes me question what should be done, apart from do more interaction by sitting next to them, even if providing the treats to their positive behaviours. How to tame them shortly without further causing them stressed out?
