If male fly away

If my male budgie comes out and goes missing can i put a new male with mom and babys?

Answer:

Hi,

Definitely not! The female would very likely attack and kill him on sight because any bird in her cage other than her mate would be considered a rival and a threat to her chicks. And the chicks would be at risk from a strange male. Hopefully the female can raise the chicks on her own. If they are very young, she may abandon them and let them die, unfortunately.
