Introducing new finch
My make society finch dies suddenly and our female needs a new companion. How long do we need to wait to introduce and what is the best way to acquaint them?

Hi Jenna,
A new bird should be kept separate for at least 30 days to make sure it is healthy. Then you can place the cage side by side to let the birds get to know each other. If they start to sit close to each other all the time, then you can try introducing them to the same cage, under close supervision.
