Irritation caused by regurgitation?

My budgie has been really hormonal for the second time since I got him almost a year ago. Has been humping on his toys, regurgitating seeds, all of that. But my worry is that he is having these episodes where he opens and closes his beak, clicking, looking up, trembling, neck stretching, sometimes bites on the bars of the cage or on the cuttlebone, then goes back to normal, chirps as usual, eats and drinks water just fine, poop is normal, moves around just fine, sleep is normal, is not lethargic or fluffed up, but still worries me. What could it be?

Answer:

Hi,

He may be getting too excited over the hormone triggers. The best thing is to remove the things that cause him to be hormonal. If that is everything he has, then try removing some of it. You may have to work with him when he gets like this, but if the spells continue, then a v et check wouldn’t hurt.

Thanks you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
