Itching
14 week old female cockatiel seems a little itchy but also seems to be molting. Loosing some feathers but new ones seem to be growing in.
Is this normal. No mites seen or evidence of them not present.

Birds will be a little itchy when molting, but some amount of grooming and scratching is also normal on a daily basis. It sounds like she might be a bit older than you think because cockatiels generally go through their adult molt starting at around 6 months of age, but sometimes as early as 4 months old.
