laying eggs

my african grey pair are not breeding yet shes laying eggs why will the male not breed with her they are both of age

Answer:

Hi,

If you have a nest box for them, then you need to take that away and let them focus on each other. The box is the last step. You need to give them time to bond, if they are going to. How old are they? While some will breed at a younger age, some need until 10 or even older. If they don’t bond, you can split them up for a while and then try again. But at some point, you may need to look for another male who will breed with this female.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
