Laying eggs

Why my budgie not laying egg, 16 days after mating. Mated several times throughout the week.Her back looks as if she laid eggs, became like exposed or swollen . But no eggs

Mating does not have to result in egg laying. It is possible she has laid egg and eaten the eggs since she looks as if she has laid eggs. Young birds will do this if they are too young to be breeding yet, and some hens will do this if they are not getting the nutrition they need.
