love bird

my love bird hasen’t layed any eggs it has been 2 years?

Answer:

Hi,

Does your bird have a mate? Are you trying to breed them? Are you certain you have a female? You can only determine the gender of lovebirds by having a DNA test run. If your bird has a mate, but has never laid an egg, then you may have two males. If you just have one bird, it’s normal for them not to lay eggs. Single females will lay eggs, but some never lay eggs. And some females with a mate never lay eggs. Having a male and female is no guarantee they will mate and lay eggs. If your birds have never mated, again, you may have two males. But mainly, not laying eggs isn’t cause for alarm even if you have a DNA confirmed female. Some just never lay eggs for one reason or another.
