Lovebird sleeping .

Why dose my lovebird peach face always sleeping out of his cage ? He always sleeps on the outside of the cage ?

Answer:

Hi Estrella,

It sounds like you are not closing the cage at night, to keep your lovebird inside. He is taking advantage of this and probably sleeping on top of the cage because birds like to sleep o the highest roost possible. However, this is not a safe situation for him. Lovebirds do not have night vision, so if he were to get startled and fall to the floor, he could get injured by falling, or you could accidentally step on him. I recommend that you close the cage door at night and make sure he is inside it so he will be safe at night.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
