Can my sick rescued Lovebird sleep on cage floor on his belly in a fleece blanket?

Have you taken the bird to an avian Vet? Sick birds are often more comfortable on the cage floor because it takes less energy than being on a perch. A paper towel is the best thing to use so that it can be replaced as the bird soils it. He might catch his nails in fabric.
