Are both birds at least 2 years old? If not, then you need to separates them and wait until both birds are 2 before you put them back together. If they are two, then all you can do is wait and see if he eventually gets it right. Breeding birds takes a lot of patience. It’s a learning process for them, and they will make a lot of mistakes before they ever get it right. And some birds never make good breeders. All you can do is make sure they are old enough, eating a good diet like pellets and not a seed mix and give them plenty of privacy. Breeders don’t do well if you are checking on them all the time.
