Mating

hello, is it possible for Budggies still mating during the process that the female is laying eggs.

Answer:

Hi Nass,

Yes, eggs are formed one at a time, with the shell developing last, which is why there is a day between each egg being laid, and the birds will continue to mate until all of the eggs have been laid. With budgies, this is generally no more than 8 eggs, 4 eggs is average.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
