Moved cockatiel in new cage with their nesting box

Hi , I didn’t know that i couldn’t move them to the new cage when they have laid eggs and i shifted them to the bigger cage with their nesting box , now they are not going back in the nesting box , what should i do?
Do i move them back to the previous cage?

Answer:

Hi,

Unfortunately once they are disturbed this way, they usually will not go back, even if you put it back the way it was. They feel like their nest is no longer a safe place to raise chicks. If it’s any help, first clutches usually fail anyway. They are learning and so are you.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
