My female bird doesnt enter the nest

I have 2 cockatiels. The male always bites the female, and enter the nest 5times a day for 10secs. The female never enters the nest. they are coupled like 3 month ago. Idk if the female isnt ready to lay eggs or she maybe dont feel comfortable with the male. Should i seperate them ??? The female seems normal to me, she eats , she sleeps (sleeps a little too much)…

You should remove the nest box until the pair is bonded. You didn’t mention their age, but they need to be old enough. Cockatiels should be at least 2 years old before you put them together. Then you wait until they bond – sitting together, feeding each other and finally mating. This is when you can give them a nest box.
