Parakeets

My one parakeet is making a clicking noise I don’t know if it’s something I should worry about or what the bird doing that means please help

Answer:

Hi Jaya,

This could be due to a respiratory illness. If the bird is fluffed up, breathing hard or tail pumping up and down, then you should take it to an Avian Vet as soon as possible. If the bird is completely normal, active, eating well and vocalizing, then it may just be a normal sound. Watch him closely for any of the signs I described. If you have any concern that he is sick, take him to an Avian Vet.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
