Parrotlet behavior
We have a male Parrotlet that chooses one person over the other. Is there a reason for this? Plus he seems to bite the one person more (harder). Can you tell me about that

Hi Greta,
Parrots naturally tend to pick one favorite person. While many live in flocks in the wild, they will still only have one mate at a time and only tolerate the flock members. If the favorite person is not around, your parrotlet may let someone else handle him. But then he is likely to bite that person if his favorite person comes back in the room. Again, this is instinctive where the mate would drive a rival bird away. The parrotlet sees other people as competition.
Thank you for asking Lafeber,
