Predicting chick colours

I have a female cinnamon and a male turquoise. Just wondering the possible colour results of babies? Only thing I am unsure of is the splits for the parents. I understand if an accurate answer can not even be given without that information. I was told when I first got my birds from the breeder that there was a very very low chance of producing anything but normal GCC colouration.

Answer:

Hi,

You would need to know what the parents were split to, and I believe you need to know further back. Unless you can find an expert on GCC mutations, looks like you will have to wait and see! It is very important that the parents are not related to each other. Sadly the GCC have been badly inbred to achieve these mutations too quickly. The result is the species is plagued with health issues due to poor genetics, much like many of the small birds like budgies, lovebirds & cockatiels.
