Could probiotics be helpful with parrots that have fatty liver disease?

Here is Dr. Lamb’s response:

Probiotics could be helpful for a variety of reasons but basically they help keep the gut healthy. When the gut is healthy there can be less pathogen overgrowth and inflammation. When you have liver disease or other problems, keeping the body healthy in other ways is very important to try and maintain appropriate homeostasis.
