SITTING ON EGGS

I HAVE A 15YR OLD BLUE AND GOLD I PURCHASED 3 MONTHS AGO. HEN HAS LAID 2 EGGS BUT I DON’T SEE HER SITTING ON THEM. I HAVE TOUCHED THE EGGS SOMETIMES THEY ARE WARM AND SOMETIMES THEY ARE COLD

Answer:

Hi Louann,

If you only have the one bird, the eggs would not be fertile anyway. If you have a pair, the eggs still won’t be good since they have been allowed to cool off. She should lose interest in the eggs, so you can throw them out if she doesn’t seem to care about them.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
