Size

Hello, im getting a Eclectus parrot soon. I was curious if you could help me figure out the best size cage for him.

Answer:

Hi McKenzie,

If you are getting a baby, then you will need a starter cage, which would be smaller than the future permanent cage.  The breeder or pet store will be able to recommend the right type of cage. Size is one consideration but you also need to get the right bar spacing. A square or rectangle cage is recommended – a round cage is not. And you also need something that is easy to clean.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
