Sleeping and Tweeting

I have two love birds. One is a possible female peach faced love bird and the other is a possible female/male dutch faced love bird. When the peach faced love bird is trying to sleep on the swing, the dutch faced lovebirds will always sit right next to peach and slowly and light chirp in her ear. It is really cute. I thought it could be almost like a bird lullaby, but i was not sure. What do you believe this behavior is?

Answer:

Hi Chemal,

It just sounds like affection. And some birds will make sounds as they sleep or even have a vocal ritual where they make a certain sound until they fall asleep.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
