Sticky bird poop rose breasted cockatoo

I have owned this bird for over 33 years. I noticed after 3 weeks, after starting using your product my bird
has built up poo sticking to her bottom. It looks normal, just builds up. I removed it and her skin is bare around her anus. Can something in these cause stickiness when passed? I started feeding 1-2 nutriberries as a supplement to my bird’s diet, which is seeds, fresh greens, peas, corn and carrots

Answer:

Hi,

I would recommend taking her to an Avian Vet. Nutri-Berries would not cause something like this. Your bird probably has some issues related to poor nutrition. Seeds are not a good diet for a pet bird. Loose seeds are usually not fresh enough to retain many nutrients, and any that are added are lost when the bird removes the hull. We only use fresh, human grade seeds with the hulls removed. All ingredients are then coated with a nutritionally balanced binder, so your bird gets complete nutrition in every bite. Nutri-Berries are formulated the same as pellets, but eh ingredients are not ground up. Nutri-Berries can be fed as the main diet, supplemented with fresh veggies, some fruits, leafy greens and healthy table foods. You can also feed pellets along with Nutri-Berries. We do not recommend offering any loose seeds.
