What Should i do to help my budgie

So i have had birds before and none of them acts like the one i have now i got him from a pet supplys shop cause i saw him getting pushed around in the cage so i took him my mom named him budgie cause she likes the name we have had him for months and he dosent wanna come out of his cage at all one time he came out beacuse i was feeding him mellet and i picked him up and took him out of the cage i dont know what i should do

If he wasn’t hand fed, then it takes time to tame a budgie, and not all of them can be tamed. I’ll give you the link to our behavior and training pages so you can better understand how to work with him. Remember that budgies are prey animals, so never grab him from behind. He will feel like a predator is grabbing him and he won’t trust you again for a while.
