Why is my baby cockatiel not begging or eating food?

I have 1-3 week cockatiels which are not begging or eating food. when I tried to hand feed them, they won’t open it’s beak or swallow it. And the crop was very low on food but not zero.
I’m feeding them every day 6am to 10pm every 2-3 hours and sometimes they only take 4-5 drops of the handfeeding formula.

Answer:

Hi Yashwin,

It sounds like the baby is sick and needs to be taken to a Vet as soon as possible. Crop or intestinal infections are very common with handfed birds. Unfortunately the bird will die without treatment and without eating enough.

Take care,

Brenda
