Wood fireplace

Speaking of air quality what about wood fire places. Is that safe? Is there certain kinds of logs that should or should not be burnt.

Answer:

Hi Debra,

Natural wood is safe as long as you keep your chimney cleaned and inspected. The room should still be well ventilated and a carbon monoxide detector is a good idea to have. I would not use any types of artificial or chimney cleaning logs around pet birds.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
