Breeding vitamin for Congo greys ?
Hi I breed Congo greys and want to give them vitamins .. what do you suggest that is economical for breeding ? Thank u

Breeder and pet birds should be fed a nutritionally complete diet such as pellets or our foraging diets – Nutri-Berries, Avi-Cakes and Pellet-Berries. All of our foraging diets are nutritionally balanced the same as a pellet and can be fed alone, or along with pellets. Regardless of which fortified diet you offer, as long as it is nutritionally complete, there is no need for additional vitamins. We do recommend offering fresh fruits and veggies, dark leafy greens and for breeders, cooked eggs with the eggshells mixed in and cooked with them as well as multi grain bread are great extra supplements. A few raw tree nuts are good for added calcium and other nutrients. A mineral block is good for additional calcium and minerals. A cuttlebone is great for added calcium but is best if you scrape it over soft foods or their cooked eggs.
Too much of even a good thing can be bad for your birds. So adding a vitamin when also feeding a nutritionally complete diet can cause an overdose of some vitamins. Unless your veterinarian has recommended something, I would not add vitamins. If by chance you are feeding a seed only diet, then vitamins can help, but in the long run this type diet is not nutritious or varied enough for breeding birds. When they do have eggs and hatch chicks, they will begin to consume a lot more food than usual and they find it very difficult to satisfy their needs with only seeds.
