Lovebird Napping

Hi, I have a 7 week old lovebird and I was wondering how often they usually nap during the day?

Hi Michele,

A 7 week old lovebird would barely be out of the nest box, so he would tend to nap quite a bit during the day. Of course you always want to be aware of what his normal droppings look like as a change in droppings can be an early indication of illness. If he is otherwise eating and drinking well and active when awake, then his naps are probably normal for his age.
