I brought my lovebird 2 months ago and he/she still doesn’t trust me. i’m assuming the my bed isn’t hand tamed the way he/she reacts to me putting my hand near or in the cage. my bird hasn’t bitten me but flies to one side and makes loud noises. what should i do to get my bird to trust me and tame him/her?

Lovebirds really need to be hand fed to be a good pet. There can be exceptions and you should certainly try to tame him, but you have your work cut out for you. The most important thing to keep in mind is that nothing is going to happen right away. You will need to spend a lot of time with him, talking to him and offering treats. Don’t try to grab him or get him on your hand right now – he needs to trust you first. You will have an even harder time taming him if his wings are not clipped. If he can keep flying away from you, it’s hard to make any progress. Hopefully they trimmed the wings where you bought him, but those feathers will grow back and need to be clipped again.
