My budgie is not sitting on the egg at night

My budgie has just laid an egg. And now it is night time she laid it in afternoon.she is not incubating at the night. But from the afternoon to evening she was with the egg all the time
Why she is not incubating at night?
What will happen if she doesn’t incubate at night?
Pls help me….

Answer:

Hi,

If she doesn’t have a mate, she doesn’t need to sit on the egg because it will not be fertile. If this is a breeding pair, the male will usually help. But if the birds are too young or inexperienced, they may not get it right this time. She will lay about 4-6 eggs, and may not sit on them until she has laid most or all of her eggs. If she still does not sit on them at night, the eggs will not hatch.
