Hi Linda,
You can take the eggs away or let her sit on them. There has never been a formal study, but some owners feel their bird gets it out of her system to sit on the eggs for 2-3 weeks, and other say it makes no difference. Some single hens show no interest in sitting and others will sit for the entire incubation period, and then give up.
