2 lovebirds no babies?

I have 2 lovebirds both around 4 years old have never laid eggs they feed each other do u think I have 2 males or 2 females?

Answer:

Hi Carla,

Since there have been no eggs, if both birds are the same sex, they are most likely both males. But, not all birds make good breeders and not all females end up laying eggs. They do sound like they are very bonded and close to each other, so I would not recommend separating them. It would be cruel and there is no guarantee either bird would ever bond with another lovebird. And you could never keep both in the same house, separate, because they would be able to hear each other.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
