Bitting problem

I brought one Alexander parrot and he is very scared , i love him and also care him but then also he bites me . He is very aggressive

Answer:

Hi Roshan,

Was he hand fed or has he ever been tame? Alexandrine’s can be shy. The best thing to do is be patient with him and give him time to get used to you. Spend time by the cage just talking to him. Don’t reach for him – give him time to know you before you try to handle him. He is a prey animal, so if you try to grab him or move too quickly around him, it can scare him. I’m going to give you the links to our training and bird behavior pages. This information will be very helpful for you to know how to work with him and understand him better.
