Budgies birds

Hello ? I have a pair of budgie the problem is the male doesn’t breed the female, every time when the female is ready the male just stand next to her ? and sometimes after that the female fights the male. Please ? answer me

Answer:

Hi,

Not all birds make good breeders, and not all birds like the mate that we choose for them. If your male is young, he may just be too young to be interested in breeding. You really should not be trying to breed them until both birds are about 2 years old. If they are younger than this, then you might need to keep them separated until both birds are mature. It sounds like the female is ready, but the male isn’t. This can be dangerous to him, because if the female get too frustrated with him, she can attack him to the point of killing him. If both birds are over 2 years old, then they may not be compatible. You can give them more time to see if they will bond, but if the female keeps fighting with him, or the attacks get worse, then you need to split then up and not put them back together.
