I have 2parakeets I would like to get a cockatiel. Could they live together?

Hi,

Not in the same cage. The cockatiel will need its own cage. Having an odd number of birds in a cage rarely works out, even when they are the same species and same sex. But adding a much larger bird to a cage with 2 small birds is a recipe for disaster. Actually the budgies would be more likely to attack the cockatiel as an intruder. If either budgie is female, they can be extremely aggressive and violent. Also, when you cage birds together, they usually will not stay tame and will lose interest in people.
