Is my bird Regurgitating?

hey i have a question i got a ringneck four months ago and he is very healthy but suddenly i dont know what is happening to him it is like he is pretending to vomit but nothing is coming out of its mouth what do i do should i be conserned about this i am very worried

Answer:

Hi Rose,

Most likely this is hormonal behavior. Is he doing it when you are around or handling him? Or does he do it when he plays with a certain toy? If he is eating well and otherwise active and normal, I would say this is a natural behavior based on hormones. If he seems fluffed up, reluctant to eat, not active or wanting to be handled, then he may have some type of illness and needs to be seen by an Avian Vet as soon as possible.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
