parakeets eating eggs

my parakeets lay two eggs so far an each one was broken i read some of the thoughts u share about a balance diet. i have put some of the food that u listed to help with her diet. ? should i still leave her to lay the egg to see if she will change from eating the egg to see if she was low on calcium

Hi Leroy,

If you feel that she needed the nutrition, then leave them alone this time. Once they are done with these eggs, take down the nest box and rest them for 6 months. Then let them try again. If they keep eating the eggs, then sadly it is a bad habit and they will likely always do this.
