I have an older female budgie with fatty lipomas. Vitamin E and biotin (with a low-fat diet) is suggested by birdvet.com.au. Is it safe to put the oil from Vitamin E capsules in her food or water?

I would still go by my recommendation from the previous post of changing her diet to the Senior Bird Nutri-Berries. Everything she needs is included and has been formulated for small birds. If she is extremely overweight, we also carry a Veterinary only diet called Nutri-An Cakes Foraging & Weight Maintenance. You can review both diets and discuss with your Vet to determine which might be better. You can actually offer both but the Nutri-An Cakes are only available through your Vet.
