What should i feed my cockatiels

Hi I’m sivan. Can you tell me a good balanced diet for my cockatiels and fruits and greens i want to know what is good for them I bought them a sea moffin i heard it was rich in calcium if you have any suggestion please let me know

Answer:

Hi Sivan,

We recommend a nutritionally balanced food as 80% of the daily diet. This can be pellets, our foraging diets, or both. This should be available to them at all times. Loose seeds will not provide the nutrients they need. The rest of their diet should be fresh greens, vegetables and some fruit. When the nest box is set up for them for breeding, you should offer an egg food daily. There are commercial dry egg foods, or you can just cook an egg with the shell washed, crushed and cooked with the egg. You should give them some of the egg or egg food daily while they are breeding, sitting on eggs and raising chicks. Once the chicks are weaned and you have removed them and the nest box, you stop giving the parents egg food until it is time for them to breed again.
