Milk thistle – Liver disease webinar Dr. Lamb

I live with several parrots (not their first home). Three of them have liver issues (blood tests) – cockatoo was put on milk thistle, Amazon was diagnosed & then taken off milk thistle, and the third, a CAG female chronic egg layer is on heart medications for an enlarged heart & even though liver was mentioned,no suggested treatment. Would it help to put all 3 on milk thistle? Or maybe add that to the Grey girl? Or is this a case on may help, may not help?

It depends on what is going on with the liver but in many cases of liver disease milk thistle has the potential to be helpful so it’s something you may want to speak with your veterinarian about.
