Imagine telling your doctor that fruits are only sugar and water. You would get laughed right out of the office and for many good reasons since that is incorrect.

Sick bird.

My female Amazon has had a breathing issue for about 3 weeks. She has now stopped eating and just sits with her head under her wing. Is there anything that can be done for her or is it too late.

We live in Norway. My African Grey lost/plucked a lot of feathers. She also lost weight drastically and became inactive. After much investigation, her Vet found what he said was uncommon bacteria (bacillus amyloquefaciens). Anti biotic treatment has brought her back to almost normal. Are Lafeber pure pellets any better nutritionally than Lafeber Nutri-berries? What’s the best way to get older budgies to eat pellets? I read budgies eat insects in the wild but I assume feeding budgies insects is NOT necessary given the protein in pellets/Nutri-berries?
